What this all means?

Early of 2010, I made one huge decision - to move to New York just how I've always wanted to do. Two years later, here I’m trying to fulfill my own "concrete dream" in the Big Apple.

The summer of 2009, I began to write for a fashion blog on Blogspot by a Fashion Editor in New York,  while I was still living at home in Milwaukee to complete my certificate on Digital Arts & Culture at UWM. As an aspiring journalist, I knew the impact of the digital age has had and will have in journalism prior to blogging. At first, I didn’t think much of “blogging” or being an “online writer”, but it has now helped me with my aspiring career.

As I progressed with my career path, I have come to rely on digital technology specifically the internet. Most of my editorial work I have gotten are online assignments and the one great thing about it is that my writings aren’t just read in one location. I contribute for the website of an Asian American magazine based in California and I am a part-time reporter for an entertainment website based in UK that has millions of readers around the world all while I’m living in New York and taking online courses at UWM. I’m sure I wouldn’t be able to do all this without the internet.

My experience in online writing has greatly help me keep up with the changes of technology as well as my industry.
